Critical Thinking

​Our Critical Thinking course is a 10-week curriculum based on the idea that to thrive in a changing world students must both become discerning users of AI as well as develop an intentional, healthy relationship to screens.
Through a series of custom-built lessons, incorporating a wide range of material—from Harvard’s AI pedagogy lab to readings from Marcus Aurelius—these one-on-one sessions help students build the skills necessary to help manage their relationship to the technologies of today, so that they can thrive in the economies of tomorrow.

​Each year, with kindness and attention, we coach students through crafting authentic personal essays. The most powerful essays are often those that risk vulnerability and reveal the student as an academically well-qualified applicant. They provide a powerful argument on behalf of the student as well as touch the hearts of admissions counselors.

Test Prep

We believe that test taking is a muscle that can be strengthened. Our tutors understand how to teach not only the strategies needed for a higher score but the winning mindset essential for ‘test day.’

To teach writing is to teach thinking. How does one order one’s thoughts with clarity and concision? These are the deeper skills involved in learning to write well. Over time, and with enough support, every student can develop the skills necessary to translate thoughts to the page, within a compelling frame.
